Fighting to Stay by Kasey Millstead Blog Tour

Cover: Cover It Designs

Release Date: December 15, 2013

“Never stay, Lacey. Promise me. Promise right now, that whenever things go bad in life, you will run. Never, ever stay.”

Lacey Monroe was used to running. When things got bad, when things got dangerous, when there was a chance that she would get hurt – physically or emotionally – she did what her momma said. She ran. She kept running, until she landed in Salt Rock, Alabama. She meets Roam Cooper, the Vice President of the Mayhem Motorcycle Club and for the first time in her life, Lacey considers staying…and then, right before her eyes, her world falls apart. And she runs again.

“No more runnin’, Lacey. ‘Bout time you started fighting to stay.” – Roam.

**This is a stand-alone, full length novel with a happy ever after**

I liked this book. Heck, I like most MC books... But let me tell you what bothered me about this first. It felt rushed to me, there wasn't too much depth to the character's relationship. I wanted more. I guess that shows you that the author had a good plot on her hands and did a good job, if you are left wanting more. More from them. More from the story. It jumps a little, timeline wise, but honestly this is a good book. I know Lacey has a crappy childhood. And I get that is where her need to run stems from. I just wish she had a bit of more of a backbone. I wish when she had her run ins with Christa, she stood up more. I don't just mean having a verbal war with her, I wanted to see her.. I don't know what. But in the end, she did put the chick in her place and Christa gets what is coming to her. Karma baby, karma! I love that Roam went nuts with out her. And I love that he didn't screw every woman he found when she wasn't around. She was it for him, and he knew it. He was it for her as well. So while we have a little bit of drama on the outside, most of it stemmed from her need to run. But all in all, the way this works out is all rainbows...well kinda. Roam isn't too happy, but still.. it's all rainbows. Not bad for a big bad MC man.

I give this book 3 hearts
