Just Breathe (Breathe #1) by Rachel Brookes
B & N: http://bit.ly/HLtr3S
Rachel Brookes is from a coastal town on the east coast of Australia where beaches, kangaroos and surfers roam free. She writes angsty love stories with a pinch of craziness, a dash of drama, a cup of romance and a spoonful of sexiness… oh and the main ingredient hot guys.
Rachel sometimes forgets to eat, sometimes forgets to sleep and sometimes can’t remember the last time she cleaned her apartment but that’s because she is in a long term relationship with her laptop and is constantly writing.
When she does step away from her laptop she can be found taking too many photos, making scrumptious cocktails, laughing at Adam Sandler movies and spending her time with her amazing family and friends.
With her first novel, Just Breathe, due to be released in July 2013, her dream of releasing a book will become reality. With another three books already taking up her mind, she cannot wait to start this crazy ride.
If I could live in Rachel's head with Tate Connors forever I would!
No, I am serious I would. He is the sweetest, kindest, generous, maddening man I know. He is far from perfect. He infuriated me at points in the book. The ending SERIOUSLY RACHEL??? WTF!This book begins where Just Breathe left off, and thank goodness.
I felt every emotion. I was sad for Tate. Just reading about how much he loves this woman there is no denying he would do anything for her. There were times I was like
Then I was like
Drama, drama, drama! I swear it follows these two like there is no tomorrow. Even in freaking NEW YORK!!!
Tate, my man what can I say? you are insecure and have issues that you need to work through. You best get a hold of them before you lose the best thing in your life.
Sav, I like your feistiness. I love that you are self sufficient but you seriously need to let your man in. Call him! Don't go to lunch with people he does not like. STOP listening to people and start trusting your man!
Both of you come from a messed up background and now is the time for the both of you to lean on one another not pull away. I know love is hard and rough to navigate. Its never easy starting a relationship. There are ups and downs, Rachel has done a wonderful job in showing that just because you are meant to be together it doesn't mean that its all lovey with rainbows and unicorns:Nope you got to go through shit. Sometimes its hard, sometimes its not as bad but all couples go through hurdles. That is what I like about Rachel's books. It shows all the drama and how they overcome. I love being in Tate's head because he is a passionate man and reading his POV just made me love him even more. Yes, Tate Connors has an effect on me.
I need closure, I need to know that Savannah finally trusts Tate, that she grows up and calls him even if it is 3 AM just to let him know how she is feeling. I need to see that Tate redeems himself and that Blake gets the fuck out of the picture. Lets not get me started with Blake because seriously?! oh and Chelsea, that bitch needs a cunt punch. I can not stand people that love to ruin other peoples happiness. I don't get chicks like her. They aggravate the crap out of me.
All in all I absolutely enjoyed this book and can not wait for the next book. Keep your eyes peeled peeps.
