Elect by Rachel Van Dyken Blog Tour

Nixon Abandonato made his choice. And now he has to pay the price. Tracey is the love of his life, but being with him has made her a target of his family's enemies. The only way to keep Trace alive is convince the world she means nothing to him.

Trace Rooks has fallen irrevocably in love with the son of her family's sworn rival, and she knows in her bones nothing can tear them apart. Until Nix suddenly pushes her away and into the arms of his best friend... But Trace isn't ready to give up on a future with Nix--and if he won't fight for them, she will.

In the end, a sacrifice must be made. A life for a life. For what better way to cover a multitude of sins than with the blood of a sinner . . .

Holy head games in a hand basket!! Good lord. I swear everyone in this damn book was playing games and you don't know who to trust. Rachel does an amazing job of taking you through a rollercoaster of mob bosses, family betrayal and love triangles. All the while she makes sure your heart is ripped out with heart break, glued back together with love, broken with death and redeemed with second chances  good lord this was one big head trip and so worth the ride. I don't know who my heart broke more for, Nixon, Trace, Chase or Pheonix.. Yes even Pheonix.  And I'm sorry but some part of me actually liked Luca. I feel like things played out as they were needed to, but I feel horribly bad for Trace. I feel like she's going to have one heck of a road ahead of her with Nixon and getting over what happened. I also feel like Pheonix redeemed himself by the end. I didn't hate him as much. And as for Mil. Way to end the book with that jaw dropper. Holy crap. Totally didn't see that coming. Wow. Just. Wow. Okay. Yeah. Like I said the whole book was like this, one big riddle. Once the truths come out- you just won't believe it.

I give this book 4 hearts

  1. I think that I would only want to attend if I were royalty - or working for the family.
