Synopsis
She's mine. That was the first thought that came to my mind when I held my baby in my arms at seventeen. I didn't care that my parents had already promised to give her to a wealthy family. That they were forcing me to give her away. She was mine. I ran away from that hospital, from that family, from the only life I knew. I planned to start over with what little money I had, determined to make something of myself despite the odds. Then Logan Tate came along. Gorgeous and controlling, he claimed he was trying to help me, and he didn't care that I was just another teenage pregnancy story. But I don’t trust him. I don't trust anyone. And if Logan knew the real secrets and lies I was keeping inside, he wouldn't dare try to shelter me.

About the Author
Alice Montalvo-Tribue lives with her husband and daughter in New Jersey. She has a bachelors degree in communications and is currently working on her masters degree. She spends most of her free time reading, writing, and when the weather permits lounging out on a beach.
The dam was broken at that moment. This story is so heartbreaking at so many different times. While I can appreciate her strength, I also felt horrible for what Mia had to endure. For the fear she had to live with. The weight she felt never left her shoulders. But Logan helps ease all of that. She finally feels like she can take a breath.
From the moment you meet Logan, you know hes one of the good ones. A really, really good one. He shows nothing but love, patience, and protectiveness when it comes to Mia and Lilly right from the start. It's because of this, slowly we see Mia start to bloom. We see her start to unravel all those layers, let him in, and not carry the weight of the world herself anymore. She grows so much through this story, with herself and her relationship with others. Don't get me wrong there is plently of drama surrounding what she went through and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's a perfect balance of love and drama. I love this story. It sucked me in from chapter one and never let me go until the epilogue. Well done Alice, well done
