As
a married mother of three, Addison Greyer has always been known for doing the
right thing. Hoping to keep it that way, she fought like hell to avoid falling
for the mysterious, highly successful, albeit broken man whom the world knows
as William Hartman. But what Addison didn't understand was that you can't help
who you fall in love with and that it almost never happens the way you think it
should.
Unfortunately for Addison, William Hartman and her desire for him continue to occupy her mind every single waking moment of the day. There's something undeniable in the way he makes her feel. From the way he looks at her to the way he so eloquently professes his love and longing via written letters, it suddenly becomes pretty clear that some rules were made to be broken.
With the two of them separated by a trial, public opinion, and a marriage that seems to be unraveling by the hour, Addison tries to keep it all together as life as she knows it is falling apart. However, as the pressure mounts, Addison soon realizes the price she'll pay to keep everyone else happy.
In this highly anticipated sequel to Bedrock, Addison and William rekindle their torrid, sensual affair through a series of love letters. What remains to be seen is whether their love and desire for one another can sustain them as they attempt to overcome the realities of their broken pasts and build a future together.
Due to heavy subject matter, strong language, and sexual content this book is for mature audiences.

it…
The extended version and in third person no less :
Britney is married to a man she adores (when he isn’t driving her crazy) and is
the mother of FIVE amazing kids, who (surprise!) also have a habit of driving
her crazy, her best guess is that it’s genetic. In addition, she founded a
local network for women in 2012, which has grown to almost 800 members.
Currently, she occupies a job she loves- serving and running Austin Women’s
Network. To further prove that she may in fact be certifiably insane, she
decided to publish her debut novel entitled, Bedrock in May of
2013. Then and only then, could she consider her training to be an expert
(life) juggler complete.
In her free time, you might find Britney running, reading, or
spending time utilizing the wonderful venues that make her city great.

This was exactly what was needed from the first book. It was
a good continuation and I am glad that I went straight into it. The book
started right where the last one ended. I’ve noticed in book’s that has seconds
or thirds that there is a lapse in the time frame. But this didn’t one bit.
Needless to say that in this book we find out more about
Addie and her life, even though it seemed at times she was flip flopping back
and forth with what she wanted in loving someone. But when you love someone as
strong as she does then I can completely understand the problem she was having
within her. She knew exactly what she wanted to do with her husband Patrick to
say the least. And with her wanting to continue working on her career was an
insight to how strong and determined she was in that aspect of her.
In the first book we find out that Patrick was having an
affair with his boss and that she was holding it over his head. In this book we
get a little bit more insight on what is going on with them. Even though what
happened was wrong still something beautiful came out of it.
William is a man that takes what he wants and leaves no
prisoners. That man took a hold of Addie heart and would not let it go. He fell
for the woman that took his breath away and never looked back, because he found
the one thing that made him incredibly happy.
Now I didn’t mention Jessica in my first review but how
could I not mention her here. This is the rock that was Addie best friend in
college and they stayed close afterwards. Jessica told Addie exactly what she
needed to hear even if Addie didn’t want to listen. It caused a little bit of
tension between them but that is what a best friend is for to tell you like it
is. But their friendship comes out even stronger then what it was to begin
with.
Now I am not the type of person to give anything away but
you need to read this book. I think the people in this story were good. Even
the ones that I just wanted to slap and beat the crap out of. They were there
to make the drama a little bit more intense. It surely did that. So in
conclusion this book could be considered a HEA, but it also left enough that
the book could go on, I was happy with the way the book was written and I give
it a honest 4 ½ stars. Well done Britney King.

I don't know what it is about William Hartmann that I love so much, but I do love this man. Much like Addie does too. This book was so good to me. A perfect conclusion. Don't get me wrong I got pissed at Patrick and Monica, and especially Patrick's mom. But I think the drama rolled out perfectly. The relationships came full course perfectly. If only real life was the same way... I was left with my jaw on the floor with Patrick's mom and what she did. Not to mention how she doesn't see the wrong she did. I was reading it all and just ready to slap the woman. She needed it. And oh... Oh... Patrick. Oh god. He is such a filthy hypocrite. To sit there and judge Addie and treat her that way, all the while he is having a weekend away with his mistress!! Aaaand bringing her around the boys!! gahhhh!! But Addie is definitely the bigger person because when Patrick finally agreed to let Addie go, it was like I could take a deep breath. And she's so okay with his situation. I guess I get it. She wasn't in love with him anymore, she had let him go and moved on.. But still. I don't know how I would've reacted. I do absolutely love the letters between Addie and William. I may not like how she pushes him away all the time. But I love his realization he deserves love and he fights for it. Boy does he fight. Totally swoon worthy. I could go on and on about how much I loved this book. Britney did this book good, so so good. Like I said, perfect conclusion.
I give it 5 hearts.
