I LOVE LOVE LOVE ME SOME MAL! OMG! Who knew that under all that goof ball, joker front was such a good down to earth, emotional man! This book started with poor Anne. That's all I kept thinking, poor poor Anne. Then she meets Mal. And i really wasn't sure what to think of that man. THeir first interaction was so confusing to me, and obviously her too. When the story started I thought Reece seemed like a nice guy too, what a good friend. Then as the story unfolded, I kind of think Mal was right. Though I don't think he did any thing intentionally. I think he just didn't realize it until it was too late. But someone seriously needed to track down that Skye chick..what kind of friend was she! But never the less, Mal to the rescue! I love their interactions. I bounced on this book between swooning and giggling at them. They are just so funny the way they talk to one another, well the way that she talks to herself is hilarious. I love that we get to see more of the guys. And i love that they are all generally concerned for Lori, Mal's mom. So Mal isn't alone. As much as he may think he is, he really isn't. He has the guys, and of course he has pumpkin. Yes, that nickname made me smile every time. I really liked the growth of Anne in this book, but I also really liked the change in Mal too. if you liked Lick, you will love Play! Kylie does a great job of bringing everyone back and making you love them all even more!
