Escaping Destiny by Amelia Hutchins Blog Tour Review, Excerpt, Author and Character Interviews, playlist AND giveaway!

Title: Escaping Destiny ( The Fae Chronicles #3)
Author: Amelia Hutchins
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Publication: February 17, 2014

Synopsis:
I thought things couldn't get worse. I was wrong.

I found out what I really wanted and was forced to give him up. Just as I found out who I really am, I was presented to the elusive Horde King as a gift.

This was the mystical being I was hidden from for more than twenty years.

Although Ryder promised to save me, I couldn't let him get near this creature, so I willingly (sort of) signed myself over to be his new plaything.

Now in the Horde Realm, nothing is going remotely like I thought it would.

My powers and emotions are on the fritz, and each day seems to bring surprises that I am not sure how to deal with.

The Horde King thinks he has me exactly where he wants me.

He thinks he has taken all of my options away.

I still have choices.

Embracing what destiny has planned for me, or escaping it.

I have been waiting for this book for what feels like forever. So when I heard it was out, live and ready to be read, I was jumping up and down and running in circles! Yes Yes Yes!!!FINALLY!! So you can bet I dropped everything to jump head first into all things Syn and Ryder.. Beauty and her Beast, Princess and Fairy. I don't know what it is about this series that just sucks me in and makes me go insane. I am so seriously obsessed with all things Fae Chronicles. It is amazingly incredible on so many different levels. Let me start with  the way Amelia writes. I can attest to how awesome it is, because I was never a paranormal lover. I mean, I considered Twilight paranormal. What does that tell you...So I pick up book one and IMMEDIATELY am addicted. Syn is Ryder's drug and he's an addict... I feel like Fae Chronicles is my drug and I'm the addict. Now you see how excited I was for this book? And LET.ME.TELL.YOU. Amelia DOES NOT disappoint. She seriously outdoes herself with this book. I swear each book just gets better and better and better. This one may just be my favorite of the series! OMG I can't believe I just said that. Please don't ever make me pick a favorite.. GAH!!! Okay, so back to Amelia. She has this spectacular way of telling a story. Not only do you just read it, but you feel it. It's almost like you are there.  I can see the story playing out in my head while I write. I also can play it back afterwards because I'm stuck in total BOOK HANGOVER mode afterwards. I will tell you this... After I finished this book, I went back and re-read it..THAT is how much I loved it. Ryder and Synthia's playful sides have to be my favorite. I love when Ryder gets playful. But they're sex is seriously OFF THE CHARTS HOT! Oh god, and when the Beast comes out.... I think my kindle was steaming! I think what may be one of my favorite things about this book is Synthia's attitude. She's not a weakling. She doesn't change who she is because she is pregnant. She doesn't change who she is because she is in Faery. She doesn't change who she is because of Ryder. She becomes who she is because of all these things. She becomes a better version of herself because of these things, and yet still remains this strong ass warrior. I love it. Then we have Ryder. You think the alpha male isn't going to change right? Ristan had it right..woo her. And at that point, I think I may have fell even more in love with him. I think he may top my Book Boyfriend List he is that good. He is that amazing. It's not just him. I am totally diggin the Beast too. Let's not forget to mention Ristan. I love that damn Demon. You see, you don't just fall in love with Synthia and Ryder. You also fall in love with every single supporting character. They are just as amazing as the leads. I don't even know if you can call them supporting, they all seem so important. The story is written so well, that all of them are so deeply entwined in it the make it just as amazing. Ristan, Adam, Z, all of them... all 100 of them. Though I can tell you I found one single person to hate through all this awesomeness. Claire. I think that goes without saying.. Oh the other thing I hated??? THE END. I wanted it to go on FOREVER. FOR.EV.ER.

Do you really need to ask what I rated this book? 5 hearts isn't enough. I think 500 is what is due.. screw that, maybe even infinite

“Now you admit it?” He continued to play. I liked this lighter side of him, even if he did want to bubble wrap me, and lock me in a panic-room until I gave birth.
“No, I’m not a Fairy. I’m Fae, and even though I suck at being one, I’m here. My old life is gone, you knocked me up. So yes, Ryder, I admit that I’m Fae, and I’ll even admit to being Blood Fae, and hell, while I’m at it, I’ll admit I like you. Now you, you’re still a Fairy,” I said, smiling impishly.
“You like me,” he said, shaking his head. “You like me.”
“Yes, it could be the hormones, but you are kinda cute…for a Fairy.”
“For a Fairy?”
“You should really get this hallway checked out, seems to have an echo in it.” I smiled even wider.
“I guess I could admit a few things,” he replied in a sexy voice that was filled with heat.
“Such as?” Yes, I was curious to know what he felt, since he never said anything apart from wanting me. Shit, we were having twins! And, I had no idea where we stood on this.
“You’ve got a great ass,” he said, never taking his eyes from mine as we walked, oblivious to anyone watching us. “Your screams when I fuck you? I like that shit, too. The noises you make when I drive my cock balls deep and you ask for more? Fuck, I seriously like it…a lot.”
Okay, maybe I fell right in to that one. “Flattery will get you nowhere,” I continued to tease him.
“I love the way that your eyes glaze over with heat, and your bottom lip quivers when you scream my name. I love the way you come on my cock,” he continued playing.
I swallowed and shivered involuntarily. Freaking Fairy had game! And he was using it all on me, and I was allowing it. “I like the way you fall over when I kick your ass.”
“You’ve never kicked my ass,” he replied easily.
“Never say never, Fairy,” I said before I turned and kicked out with one foot, while I planted my hands against his chest and shoved him. I stayed long enough to catch the look of shock on his face, before I turned and ran as fast as my legs would carry me down the long hallway. I squealed with laughter from the look on his face as I ran forward.
I’m not sure what I had expected, but c’mon, he was Fae. He sifted in front of me, which I hadn’t seen coming until it was too late. I ended up colliding full-force with his much larger frame. Hitting Ryder at a full sprint was like hitting a brick wall. I screamed as I started to fall backward, but he caught me easily.
“Shit!” he growled with a hint of laughter in his tone.
I was quickly pulled up and pressed against the warmth of his wide chest, which I’d just a second ago face planted. “What the hell do they feed you? Cement?” I said as I relaxed against him.
“You knocked me on my ass, Pet.”
“I did, didn’t I?” I snorted, happily flashing him a haughty smile.
“I should spank that pretty ass for doing so,” he whispered heatedly as he stalked me. I was walking backward toward the door I knew to be behind me.
“You wouldn’t,” I said, already knowing that he would. He was the epitome of a male. He was strong enough to do it, easily. I was almost surprised by the heat that erupted from the mere thought of his hands on my ass.
He took one step for every three I had taken. He caught me the moment we passed through the door to his lavish bedroom. One hand snaked around to the small of my back, and lifted me up against his immense chest, the other finding my ass where he then smacked it softly, almost teasingly. I smiled and bit into my bottom lip. He continued walking toward the bed, as if my weight didn’t hinder him at all.
His eyes burned with intensity as he turned us around, and lowered himself to the bed with me still pressed against his body. I spread my legs until I was straddled on his lap. I lifted my face until our mouths were close enough for either of us to make the first move to kiss.
Neither of us did so. Instead, we sat like that for minutes, just together. Both of us were afraid to move to dispel the peace, which was so new to us. No snarky comments came easily to mind, no brutal alpha male shit either. Just us. This was the man I’d fallen in love with, even with his sheer dominance and his need to control.
Right now there was none of that between us, and it wasn’t needed. I wanted him, and even though we had many issues to work through, right now wasn’t the time to discuss it. I had a craving, and only he could give me what I needed the most.

I am so nervous preparing for this interview. I mean, HELLO!, it's Synthia and Ryder... SYN AND RYDER! Good golly, I hope Ristan doesn't come too. If that Demon is here, I will for sure lose my cool. *fanning face* Okay.. I can do this..  SAN, SHANNON! Oh god.. I'm so nervous... Please keep me calm! Oh god, Holy Horde King..it's time, they're here....
Beauty, Beast… thanks for taking the time to sit down with me today I appreciate it very much. Is it okay if we get started, I know you are both quite busy…You know, saving Faery and all.
Ryder: Hmm….
Syn: Shut it Ryder, tell the ladies hi.
Ryder: Watch it, Pet.

Oh God, how does she handle that tone.. that dominance.. I think I may have just ..nevermind.

Syn, How have you adjusted to being pregnant now? Do you feel like you have accepted it more?
Synthia: I don’t really have a choice. I’m coming to terms with it, but it’s a new adventure for sure.

Ryder, how do you feel about the pregnancy? Are you looking forward to seeing her grow big with your babies in her belly?
Ryder: I think she’s beautiful with my children growing inside of her. There’s nothing more beautiful.

Syn, Do you think you being pregnant will impact your Fae abilities in anyway?
Eliran says that it could very well make them out of whack, but I’m hoping they stay focused with the war looming before us.

Ryder, Do you worry that she will overdo it? If so, how do you plan on restraining her from doing whatever the hell she wants to do?
Syn is brave, and she knows her limits. So far, she seems to be balancing it all well. If she starts over doing it, there’s always a way to chain her to the bed and keep her happy…which, I have no issue doing.
Ryder, do you think her being pregnant will make your Beast more protective and controlling of Syn?

He is a little more protective now that she carries our babes, but he knows she is wise for her tender years.
Syn, do you see your Fairy ever being able to tell you what you can or can’t do?
 As if.

Syn, have you guys thought of any names?
I have a few in mind, but nothing is set in stone.

Syn, how do you like Faery now that you have been there some time? Do you still miss the human world?
I miss home, but I have to accept this world now. I no longer fit in where I once belonged.

Ryder, If you had to pick one thing about Syn that you loved the most, one thing your children would get from her, what would it be?
 Her ability to accept changes.

Syn, what about you…what’s one thing that your kids would inherit from Ryder?
His beautiful eyes.
*sigh* yeah....beautiful *trying not to stare*

Syn, please tell me you plan to faceplant Claire? How are you doing with the harem?
Claire will get what she deserves, but being pregnant, I have to keep my children safe first, and worry about her later. The Pavilion, well, I used to hate it. Knowing what I do now, it seems like a needed sanctuary for the Old Horde Kings victims.

Syn, how are you doing handling the Fae half-truths that most of them speak? I don't know how you do it. It would drive me insane!
I’m getting better at figuring them out. Word games are an art and a learning experience for sure.

Syn, how are you doing with sifting? Or do you still land at Ryder’s feet?
I haven’t had a lot of time to practice since entering Faery.
Ryder, what’s hotter… the marks of all the Castes on Syn or your brand on her?
My brands on her beautiful flesh.

Syn, whats the hottest thing about Ryder? One thing that just drives you wild?
His smirks, and the looks of lust that light his eyes and make them glow.
Oh god, yeah...
Ryder, do you feel that having Syn with you, beside you, makes you a better, stronger King or gives you more of an area of weakness for people to try to attack?
Both, finding a balance is hard, but she’s a warrior and it lessens the burden of my mind knowing she can handle her own.
Both of you, are there any human tendencies, celebrations, anything that you plan to incorporate more into the Fae world you are working so hard to save?
No.
Yes. I want my kids to have human holidays.

Ryder, I totes have the hots for Ristan, there is just something about that Demon... don’t suppose you brought him with you, no? Sorry.. I didn’t mean to say that out loud. Awwwwkward…
Ristan is busy taking care of a few things.

Damn....Okay quick fire, then you can go.
Hard or soft?
Hard.
Both?
Sweet and slow, or Fast and hard?
Fast and hard.
Slow and hard.
**fanning face** sweet jesus

Blindfolded or bound?
 Bound.
 Bound.

Beast or Fairy?
 Beast.
 Beast.

Shower or wall?
Wall.
Shower wall.
**oh..nice Syn, nice..**

Sigh.. okay okay. I’m done prying. Thank you so much for stopping by.

You are very welcome! Thanks for having us.

Amelia Hutchins interview

I am just overjoyed to sit down and chat with one of my favorite authors. I can't believe that I got a chance to interview THE Amelia Hutchins. I am totally fangirling. TOTALLY. I think she is just the coolest thing since sliced bread. Check out my interview with Amelia below...

Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit down with me. Shall we get started?
 Amelia: Thanks for having me!

Where did the idea or plot for the Fae Chronicles emerge from?
Amelia: I’ve had the story in my head for over four years. It just sorta came to me.

Are the characters or any of their personality traits from any people you know in real life?
Amelia: No, they don’t. I wish I knew someone who glamour me some some OPI!

Where do you do your best writing?
Amelia: I do my best work when the house is empty, but I can write with kids playing and husband playing Black Ops, so anytime is good writing time.

What's your favorite way to Brainstorm?
Amelia: While listening to music.

What's the best gift you have gotten from a fan?
Amelia: Just being told I took their minds off of a hard time is the greatest gift.

What's your favorite part of writing the Fae Chronicles?
Amelia: Writing Ristan, he’s a hoot.

Everyone has a favorite character, do you?
Amelia: They are like children, so it’s tough to just pick one.

Do you see Syn and Ryder getting a happily ever after?
Amelia: Of course, but the fun is watching how they get there.

How many books can we expect in the series?
Amelia: 5-6, and then we will have spin offs, and other new series.

Will there be any books for any other characters, like a spinoff?
Amelia: Absolutely.

What was your reaction to the outpouring of love people have had for books one and two?
Amelia: I’m still in shock at the reaction from fans. I only expected to sell two books, and I’ve sold over 20 thousand.
How do you handle the negative criticism, if you even get any?
Amelia: I take it with a grain of salt. A lot of people are comparing it to the Fever series, which this series is nothing like. Those one’s I shake my head at, because it’s hard to compare a new author to KMM. The ones that are about the book I look at to see how I can better the writing.
Are there any other genres you would like to write?
Amelia: I have an apocalyptic romance planned, but my first love is Paranormal Romance, so it too will carry that element. I won’t be stepping out of my genre for a long time.
If you could say one thing to a new indie author, give one piece of advice, what would it be?
Amelia: Just write what you love, because it will show in the writing. If you love it, it will show inside the pages.
What is the best advice someone ever gave you?
Amelia: Well, I was told to stop trying to go traditional and just publish my book. An agent told me he couldn’t pay a publisher to buy my shitty little book, well that shitty little book sold 20 thousand copies. So, going Indie was the best advice I got.
I don’t suppose maybe there are any hints, teasers, or spoilers you can give us about the next book?? Pretty pretty please????
Amelia: I’m sorry, but I don’t have anything from book four yet.

I have to seriously thank you for sittin down with me. I've never been a true lover of paranormal, except for Tina Folsom and Elisabeth Naughton. I consider you on the same level as them,  I'm such a fan, self admittedly a little obsessed. Okay, a lot obsessed.
Amelia: Thanks for having me! It was fun to be here, and great feeling to know I made it the same level in your book as some of my favorite authors.
