Book two in the Life. Destiny. Fate Series
Synopsis
At what point do you stop
fighting the events that have long been predetermined by the course of fate?
Cara Savannah falls fast and
falls hard. She always has. The problem is the kind of guys she falls for. They
aren't interested in anything more than a one night stand. Finally fed up with
the years of heartache and lack of meaningful relationships, she vows to turn
over a new leaf. Cara is going to let love take a backseat and focus on
herself. Most importantly- no more
tattooed bad boys. The question is, how long can she manage to evade what fate
has orchestrated for her?
Abel Mileski is every bit
your typical bad boy on the exterior, but life’s left him broken and jaded.
After years of meaningless sex with girls only seeing him for his good looks
and tattoos, he sees no value within himself. Ready for a change, he shuts down
his desires and immerses himself in his career. However, when fate intervenes,
he is completely unprepared. Meeting Cara ignites his desires. She’s not fazed
by his ink, and when he tries to charm her, he fails... Stunned by her instant
dislike of him, he is determined to find out why.
After months of sexual
tension, they make a decision that will forever change their lives. Will that
decision be what ultimately wrecks them or brings them back together?

Dee's Review
I totally love the Abel and Cara story. At times it felt like maybe, just maybe, there was a little too much sex. I know, who ever thought that I would say THAT. But, don't hate me, it did. Now that I have that minor little complaint out of the way, let me tell you why this book was still so so good. Ready?
Cara is bound and determined to not get involved with Abel. Plus when Vincent warns her how he's a wham bam thank you ma'am kind of guy, she's even more put off. She doesn't want to get back into that kind of relationship. I'm over here all GO CARA! Way to have some self respect and want to find a man who sees your self worth. I was totally in girl power mode.
But just like Cara, Abel wears you down. He's like a little stray puppy you know you shouldn't take home but you can't help but indulge and do it. But then he becomes your best friend. Yeah. Totally Abel. He really does become not only her best friend, but her confidant. And when she starts fibbing to Lex, I was all RUH ROH.
Trouble ahead. Then I had to stop and ask- why IS she lying. Bad Cara, bad. Abel starts to morph into this super dependable good man that you can't help but love. Who has a cat names Puss, that alone earns him points in my book. Cara and Abel's relationship starts off physical but it morphs into this really deep, strong relationship. It gets tested more than once and just when you think they're in clear waters, it's deeper than you thought and a rough sea ahead. Hold on to your poncho folks, rough waters ahead. That's all I'm gonna say. Okay, I will say one more thing. She gets a kick ass new Tesla from Vince! He did keep his word from Fatalism. That, I thought was funny. I though this book was really good and if you like Fatalism, you will like this. I gave it 4 hearts.
