Ride by JC Emery blog tour and Giveaway

Ride Synopsis:
Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life. Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits.

Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover. Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross. Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

JC Emery Bio:

As a child, JC was fascinated by things that went bump in the night. As they say, some things never change. Now, as an adult, she divides her time between the sexy law men, mythical creatures, and kick-ass heroines that live inside her head and pursuing her bachelor's degree in English. JC is a San Francisco Bay Area native, but has also called both Texas and Louisiana home. These days she rocks her flip flops year round in Northern California and can't imagine a climate more beautiful. JC writes adult, new adult, and young adult fiction. She dabbles in many different genres including science fiction, horror, chick lit, and murder mysteries, yet she is most enthralled by supernatural stories-- and everything has at least a splash of romance.

********SANDIE'S REVIEW:*********
Reading the synopsis to this book I was like oh hecks yeah I wanna read this, I mean Mob princess meets Biker, that makes for DRAMA! and let me tell you it is HAWT juicy drama.
I have to admit at first I was like how the hell is this even going to work? Oh man but when Alex makes a decision that is unforgivable in the mob world and how she is rescued, I got it. Man oh man and it just kept getting better and better from there. The longing, the drama, the lies exposed.
Alex is a naive girl who was a mob princess, being thrust into a biker world she knows nothing about. They are her protectors, and I know its just so odd, how in the hell does that even happen?? you have to read to find out. She meets Ryan and even though she is told he is off limits you know the heart wants what it wants, and its focused on Ryan.

Ryan is an ass like totes and completely. He likes Alex you can tell BUT, if its between the girl or the club...The club always comes first. I really had a hard time liking him and I totes TOTES get the whole MC thing that the club comes first I mean who hasn't watched Sons of Anarchy or read other MC books that talk about this fucked up twisted world?? Man oh man he does some pretty fucked up stuff to her though. I wanted to slap the shit out of him for her and I mean this dumb chick just takes him back LIKE WTF?????

I get she's young and naive I do I get it but seriously he humiliated her in front of his club, and she is hurt but when he comes sniffin around again she just goes back like nothing. Tells him nothing does nothing. That made me mad for her because she seemed weak. I just couldn't! Then he does more shit to her that made me like...
It left me wondering....
Honestly I can not even tell you the answer to that.

When I got to the end I am still teetering between liking him or loathing him. I just didn't feel like he made it up to her. It was there but I felt it needed more angst and more groveling on his end. He needed to show her how he felt.

I did enjoy the book and I love this fucked up, twisted, crazy world of the MC. Though some of the book is in Ryan perspective (which I LOVE) I still felt he needs something more. He didn't grab me and hold my attention ya know. I was really interested more in Ruby and Jim's backround, or even Duke. Hell even Ian. I am hoping that since is the first book, Ryan comes back and can let down his walls and show off his caring side. I would love more on Ruby or Duke.

Overall I enjoyed the book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
