Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One. Or so she thinks.

HOLY SHIZZBALLS ON A STICK! this book right here, This book YES YES YES!
What can I say? I enjoyed the last book about Ruger but this book, OMG this book. Liam/Hunter (whatever you want to call him) at first I was like I am not going to like him but slowly my opinion changed. He became a guy that I was okay with, and then I loved him. What he did and the way that he cares about Em was truly amazing to witness as it unfolded before my eyes.
Em oh Em what can I say about this girl? I know it was probably not easy growing up with her dad and his club but, she was a Reaper through and through. She is strong and never backed down even in the face of the kidnapping. I loved that we got to see what happened on her side of it. She held her own. Her dad made sure she was tough but also tender.
Liam may not have fully known everything about Em but he knew he wanted to love and protect her even though they were from opposite sides. I truly enjoyed the way that Liam cared about Em. He was loyal to his MC but, he knew when Em needed to come first. Lets not forget about Thanksgiving! I rooted for Liam. I was glad he did what he did because that solidified his love and everyone could see that.
This story was like Romeo and Juliet. Two lovers who clearly, can not and should not be together. They risk everything to be with one another and will not let anyone stand in their way. Books like this make me want more and more from this gritty/raw world.
I gave it 4.5/5 hearts
