After the tragic deaths of her parents and her troubled life as an orphan, she met Damon Cole, a man who has everything to do with it all. He’s part of the reason for her wrecked life, but he’s also the reason that her heart has been restored. He’s her future and the exact reason that she’s so willing to fight the demons from his past that threaten the very future that she so desperately seeks.
In the final book of the Wrecked series, Jo is confronted with a turbulent history that has her negotiating the twists and turns that end up being far more difficult to handle than she ever could have anticipated.
Jo’s relationship with enigmatic Damon is delicate at best, especially after she inadvertently discovers details about his life that may have been better left buried.
Since Damon’s dark past has remained hidden for so long, Jo’s investigation puts her dangerously close to jeopardizing her already fragile relationship with the man she loves.
Jo has a promising future at her fingertips; she must decide if revealing the truth to Damon is a gamble she’s willing to take. With so much at stake, acceptance proves to be Jo’s greatest battle to date.
Okay let Me start off with what I didn't like. it was soooooo short. like novella short. I think with what happened in this book, we could've been given more. I didn't like that 75% of the book felt like it was just Jo. there was limited interaction. we only saw Damon a majority of the time for sex. I felt like we really didn't get to see him.at all. I was so invested and waiting for their happily ever after, I wanted more from what we were given. lastly, Jo accepts what he did, her heartbreak, way too easily. I felt like she gave him a free pass. it was just sorry, okay. that was too easy for what she endured.
okay. now, what I love. I loved the story. there were so many times I actually had butterflies or caught myself smiling at Jo. but there was the point that my heart broke and the fury that follows. I just wanted to scream "how could you!!!" not only at Damon, but Andy. this story just pulled the emotion from me. I love Jo and Damon. I love their dynamic and chemistry. but I also love the supporting characters too. Brian, nani, grams. all of them. its exceptionally written and sucks you back onto the pull of Damon just like the other books.
4/5 hearts
My heart resides with you. Papa’s inscription to Maman is elegantly scrawled inside the band of a ring that symbolizes so much promise for our future together. Damon knew how much that inscription would mean to me. He accepts me as I am. Flaws, painful reminders, and all, Damon accepts me for
who and what I am. Merely his presence makes me want to be a better person. I’ve never wanted to be better so much. I’ve never wanted to fight my past, his past, and our fucked up connected past more than I do now. My motivation is tall, handsome, wounded, and he occupies my heart. A few minor things stand in the way of our perfect-screwed-up-life, but I readily accept whatever challenges lie ahead, because for me, there is no other option. Damon is it.
