We are so excited Rebecca Shea’s Bound by Lies, the final book in her Bound and Broken Series, is now available!
About Bound by Lies Torn between two men; one was what I needed; the other was what I wanted. One man was safe and the other was dangerous. But both men would lay down their lives to save me. ATF agent Sam Cortez is fighting to bring down the Estrada family empire, which was built on murder and corruption. Alex Estrada did what was needed to keep me safe…and paid with his life. Starting over as I try to rebuild my life, it’s clear that the past is never what it seems. What no one knew was that we were all bound by lies. Add on Goodreads
If you have followed my blog for a while then you know I love me a good series.
Whether it's a duology, a trilogy, quartet etc...I love them. They make me happy because I get to delve deeper into the lives of characters that I love. When Rebecca Shea announced this duology I was beyond excited.
Reading Broken by Lies broke me....like at 2% in I really wasn't sure if I could go on, but I did then the ending...
Not what I expected I was like all over the net #SaveAlex because hello you can't make me fall for a character and end it that way. Which brings me to this book.
Holy shizzle. I don't even know what to say. Rebecca took me on a journey. I was heartbroken, sad, mad, shocked then happy then what in the hellz? I ran through a gamut of emotions.
Emilia has to deal the aftermath of book 1. I almost didn't want to keep reading because there is no way I was going to be duped into loving another character. Nope not having it. But I forged ahead. So glad I did. People I thought I hated I now am okay with. Nothing is as it seems. Usually I can kind of guess which way the story in going but this time I had no clue what was coming. I thought I knew but I was wrong.
I can't give too much away because you seriously need to read the path Emilia and characters have paved in this book. Don't expect the expected because you will be disappointed.
With each book Rebecca Shea continues to improve in storytelling. Makes the characters strong without being too douchy or bitchy. The ending was perfect, she had me worried for a bit because it could have went either way but I loved it.
This book has everything. Suspense, murder, healing and moving on. If you are looking for a great duology this is the series for you. Just heed my warning nothing is at it seems.
