Shannon's Review

On Wicked Ground is not a standalone book.

You would need to read the following, which

highly recommend you do, first. Here is the

list.

1. Wicked Wind

2. Wicked Waves

3. Wicked Flames

              4. Kissed by a Demon Spy

5. Wicked Ground

All of these are awesome books. Sharon does

such a great job in writing these paranormal

books. I believe Wicked Ground is the last

book and I am so sad to see this series go. I

fell in love with the very first one I read and

couldn’t wait to get my hands on the others.

Wicked Ground is about a girl who comes into
finding her family with also finding new love.

Alina is a feisty, cunning, gorgeous girl. She

has to be to do some of things she does. She

comes from a life of being a thief and robbing

people. She meets a guy one night who, I hate

to say this but, rocks her world. I know that’s

cliché but it’s true. He turns her life upside

down but in a good way.

Caine is freaking HOT. Omg to be in the

hideaway tunnel with him instead of Alina.

You will get that when you read it and you

will say the same thing. Caine is a lash

watcher and he doesn’t ever see Alina coming

either. I’m not going into detail but the

comradery between them is funny and sexy.

They are perfect for each other.

This book is well written and kept me turning

the page to see what happened next. It’s a

great ending to a great series.

I am giving this book 4.5 hearts.

Kissed by a Demon Spy by Sharon Kay Review

Kissed by A Demon Spy
Solsti Prophecy Novella
By: Sharon Kay
Release Date: October 7, 2014

Kidnapped as a teen and forced into a life of sexual slavery, Garnet vowed long ago to do whatever she could to spare others her fate. When karma comes full circle with an offer of freedom for her and her young son, she jumps at the chance.

Masquerading as a village innkeeper, Aden keeps his espionage work secret from the gentle pixies he lives among. Using his skills to prevent a group of vicious demons from attacking the innocent, his world is draped in mist, shadow, and danger.

Steeped in shame, Garnet is loath to share her past with Aden. But Aden senses a sweet, loyal strength in her that no amount of horror can erase. His dangerous work is the opposite of the stability Garnet craves. Yet Aden’s patience and strength make him the hero she never had. When the enemy targets them, Garnet and Aden realize that honesty is the truest form of courage.

This novella was a great way to give me a pick up from missing the Solsti Prophecy series. I adore each one of those books so getting a little taste of a character from the second book was fabulous. I will include links for my reviews from the first three books. I will also include the purchase links.
This book comes from the character that helped Brooke and Kai from what could have been disaster. Garnet is a woman who has endured sex slavery along with giving birth to a son. She is strong but week. I feel so bad for her. She is full of shame and hurt. She finally gets away from the horrible place she was made to live at since her teenage years. That is when she meets Aden.
Aden could make any girl feel giddy and week in the knees. He is a strong loving guy. He also is very protective. He is very patient with Garnet and you could feel his need but also feel how he knew not to push. He has his secrets though. By the way him with Dash, Garnet’s son, is too sexy.
I urge you to read to the note that Sharon Kay left at the end. She has some great information of sex trafficking and how it could be happening in your own backyard. Its real people and very saddening.

I am giving this book 4.5 hearts.

Wicked Flame by Sharon Kay Blog Tour and Review

Wicked Flames
Solsti Prophecy #3
By: Sharon Kay
Release Date: July 14, 2014

Gin Bonham lives with a dark secret. Born

with an ability she never wanted, she builds

her life around science and logic, running

from the terror she is capable of causing.

When sexy stranger Mathias spots her on a

dance floor and cuts in, he leads Gin in a

sensual rhythm that continues long after the

music stops. But Mathias hides the fact that

he knows exactly what she can do: in the

deepest recesses of her mind lurks the power

to manipulate fire. Destiny is coming for her

and it doesn’t care if she’s ready or not.

Mathias possesses tracking and espionage

skills so extraordinary that his fellow Lash

demons call him The Hunter. Pursue and

interrogate. He never fails. When he is tasked

with coaxing Gin to work with the Lash

demons against a common enemy, he relishes

the challenge. But meeting her awakens a

new, primal drive that pulls him toward her

even as his tactics break her heart.

Failing to win Gin’s cooperation is not an

option. But she is determined to flee, putting

thousands of miles between her and any

other supernatural creatures, including

Mathias. Can she cool the charred embers of

her emotions enough to forgive Mathias and

embrace what she was meant to become? Or

will her ability explode into something more

than she can control?

The distinct buttery smell of pecan instantly hit his nose. Gin stirred the hot chocolate with cinnamon sticks, further intensifying the olfactory barrage.
“This smells way better than the Coffeehouse,” He walked up behind her, admiring the view of her perfect ass in that tight little dress. Her hair hung long and loose down her back, and he threaded his hands into it, wanting to touch every inch of her.
She sucked in a breath and turned to face him, eyes huge. Cradling one mug in her hands, she offered it to him. “Taste.” Her voice was a strained whisper, a question and an offer combined.
He toyed with the ends of her hair. “Not first on my tasting list, Ginger.”
Her pulse ticked frantically at the base of her throat, and her chest rose and fell with uneven breaths. “Not…first…?”
He took the mug from her and set it on the counter. “No.” Fuck, she was so gorgeous, standing here all dressed up for him. Dim light or sunlight, silk or jeans, she glowed with a fiery sensuality. He planned to explore every nuance of her heat, starting when he was buried inside her.
Holding her hair to the side, he kissed her shoulder. Her arms slid up his shoulders to clutch his biceps and a breathy moan escaped her.
Nipping, he moved to her collarbone. Her neck. Anywhere but her parted lips, where he knew she wanted him. He wanted her pliant, defenseless, and begging.
She gave a full-body shudder and tilted her head.
Pliant, defenseless, begging. He gripped her hips and traced circles with his thumbs. “Can you guess what’s at the top of that list?”
“Um…” She blinked, but couldn’t hide the hunger in her eyes. “List?” Her hands dropped to grip the edge of the counter behind her.
He brushed his lips across her ear. “We’re gonna play a game.”
Her eyebrows raised. “What kind?”
“A guessing game.”
“Hmm.” She bit her lip. “Like twenty questions?”
“Only two questions.”
“What am I guessing?”
“I have something of yours.” He swept his hands up and down in the air in front of him. “On me.”
Her mouth dropped. “What? When did you—? Where?” her eyes darted over his chest and arms, and down to his open hands.
“You get two guesses. For each wrong guess, I kiss you.”
She folded her arms, pushing her breasts up and giving him a cock-hardening view of her cleavage. “That doesn’t sound so bad. How do you know I won’t guess wrong on pur—”
“After two guesses, you have to find it. Without talking. And you have to keep your eyes closed until you do.”
Her eyes widened. “What if I don’t find it?”
“You get spanked.”

Wicked Flames is the third book in the Solsti Prophecy trilogy. The first book is Wicked Wind and the second is Wicked Waves. I will include the links for all three books. These books are meant to be read in order too.

This book was about Gin and Mathias. She is a very intelligent who wants to help the world. She also is a dance instructor. Gin is the youngest sister of Nicole and Brooke which you will meet in the first two books. Gin has a power, just like her sisters, but hers is with fire. She had a bad experience with her gift when she was younger making her not wanting to use it. Her sisters live with their lash demon boyfriends which Gin wants nothing to do with. She thinks it’s all fake and stupid. Until Mathias shows up in her life.
Mathias is a hunter and is hot as hell. He is sent to Gin’s university one night at a party where she shows her dancing skills off. He was sent to convince her to come with him. When he meets her he sees more of her than he thought he would.
Their relationship is a whirl wind of lies, hardship, and some steamy nights together. I really liked these two together. Mathias you meet in one of the other books but you get a better look into his life. Same with Gin.
I am giving this book 4 hearts.
