Definite 4.5 star review on this for me. I've read Bobby and Annabelle, so I knew the background. If you haven't read it, you need to before you read this book. It will provide the background to the boys in this story. And after the first book you will attached to all these boys. That is where you will meet Riley. That is where your heart will crack a little for Riley. But this book, this is where your heart will break for Riley. When you read his story with Kara. His heartbreaks with Kara. His regrets with Kara, and hers with him, you will feel like there's this huge hole in your heart. So much loss. So much is broken.

Then we fast forward to the here and now. We get to meet some new players- Ice and Hammer from the Regulators MC. But we also get to meet a new Kara. And we get to meet the new Riley too. Let me tell you, when these two meet and their old sparks reignite they are HOT HOT HOT. They old fires burn and they burn big. Now Kara has her own drama and she has two boys who want to protect her and she's just caught in the middle. And it's just as crazy hot as it sounds. This book is stock full of drama, action, heartbreak, and love. Lots of all of it. Jessie lane has done an amazing job with this book. You can't compare it to the first book, they're different on so many levels. But on the other hand, this one is better on so many different levels. And I have to say, I'm diggin the new characters. but that ending. That ending!! Jessie. No. All i could think reading it is no no no no no.

Jessie does a great job of introducing new characters but not overwhelming you with the information. A great job of jumping from past to present and not leaving you wanting to skim the flash backs. Plus a great job of pulling that story from Secret Maneuvers and continuing it on into this book.
