Dee's review of new release Dirty Rowdy Thing by Christina Lauren

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From the New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy—a story of friends, love, and lust.

Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

I am completely shocked and in love with most things Finn right now. I loved the story of Finn and Harlow. It was nice to see these two, who are so much alike, struggle with how they felt for one another. Struggle with the feelings, which to them were more of a distraction than anything else. A distraction at a time they didn't need distractions, either of them. Their denying and way of dealing with their emotions was like ice skating uphill, it just wasn't gonna happen.

This story is so well written it literally sucked me in from page one. I love Harlow and her attitude, her strength, her fierceness and the way she loves those around her. I love that Finn was the first guy we get to hear that she went googoo over, because let's be honest who wouldn't with all the way he handles himself. I'm just all tied up over here with my feelings for Finn. I wanna be mad at him for how he handled her help. I wanna hold that grudge. I can forgive but I can't forget. And it's the one thing I didn't like about the book, how quick she was to forgive. She should have made him work harder, they both had a lot on their plates, they both had something to be concerned about- but he didn't even think about her stuff, her worries. He was just done. No checking in, nothing. She should have made him work at his apology more. But again, that's me. My ability to forgive and not forget. But Finn, he's just so damn SEXY. He's so damn ... Just YES.

I love that we get this amazing story of Harlow and Finn, but we also have the return of everyone else from Sweet Filthy Boy. So we get a continuation of their story lines as well. I love the characters the girls at Christina Lauren have created. I love the way they write, how the story flows, how HOT they are, and how much they make you fall in love with each and every character involved.

I gave this 4.5 steamy hearts
