Sometimes the best things in life come from the unexpected. So if you lower your expectations, then you’ll never be disappointed. Sound cheesy? It is, but it's also true. I'm supposed to be telling you what this book is about. I'm Megan Walker, a lawyer at one of the hottest boutique law firms in Atlanta. Life just threw me a couple curveballs, so I've set out to take things into my own hands. Megan is an achiever well on her way to the top, but a couple of incidents leads her on a path of discovery. Laura (Megans) Best Friend just lost her job, she calls Megan and arranges to come for a visit. Laura makes a discovery of her own it is the beginning of an adventure of their lives, it is filled with laughs, men, walk-of-shames, concerts, alcohol and loads of fun along the way.

There are many elements to this book that captured me. Funny is one of them. I laughed so much while reading this book. It was a nice change of pace from the books I have been reading lately. Of course no story would be complete with out some sort of angst and Griffin wrote just enough to keep you on your toes.

What I love is that this author has written something so different than anything else of hers that I have read. Its enjoyable to read a book where the main protagonist is a strong female, although Griffin is known to write the female protagonists in this way, I still enjoy that she didn't change that element.

This book made me smile, laugh along with wanting to grab my BFF and go on a road trip of my own. If you are looking for a book that will make you believe in friendship and want laughs then this is the book you need in your life.

I love my slut pig (R.L Griffin) because she inspires me. She isn't scared to step out her comfort zone. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

R.L. Griffin published her first book in 2004. After that she focused on practicing law. A few years ago she began writing the By A Thread series, which is out now. Her goal is to keep readers on their toes, whether it's the plot twist or the book itself, her books are outside any box. There is a little bit of grit in most of her books and a ton of cussing.
