Shannon’s Review
Diamonds by K.A. Linde is a holy sh$$ book. This book has
you making assumptions but not the right ones.
Bryna is feisty. She is sexy and well beyond her seventeen
years of age. She knows what she wants and she gets it. She is the queen bee. She
also has her downfalls with lack of parental units not being involved in her
life.
She meets a man in a bar one evening. He is everything in a
man you could ever ask for. The only thing is he holds lots of secrets. He had
me shaking my head and screaming at him for the lies he told. They always say
the truth will find its way out and indeed it did but only to hurt people in
the process.
This book was so good. It has twist and turns page by page.
I am giving this book 5 hearts.

Grant
Manwhore. Adrenaline junkie. Lead singer of ContraBand. What you see is what you get. I make no apologies for my actions, and by now no one expects any from me. I live my life the way I want and as long as it pushes the demons back, then I'm solid. I've never needed a chick for more than a good lay. Why would I need just one when I can have a different one every night?
Until she walks into my world.
Aribel
Mouthy. Perfectionist. Princeton student. Chemistry major. Yes, that pretty much describes me. Oh, and virgin. But I'm only nineteen, and have more important things to concern myself with. What really matters is finishing my degree and getting a good job. I’ve worked hard for what I want, and do what’s expected of me. I don’t need anyone to get in my way.
Until he opens up my world.
But if I give you my world, whatever you do…don’t take me for granted.
Find out what happens with Grant and Aribel in part one of the Take Me duet!

Shannon's Review
This book is for all you rock star lovers out there. This book has everything a good book with rocker hotties should have. Grant is a cocky, man whore lead singer of a band called Contraband. He is the biggest douche to all women. In other words he is a womanizer. Britney Spear’s song could have been written about him. He is gorgeous I will give him that but damn him and his thinking he is God’s gift to women.Along with Grant comes his
band members, Miller, Vin, and McAvoy. Miller
seems to be the head of the group with his head
on somewhat straighter than the rest of the group.
McAvoy is a stoner. I mean there isn’t much I can
say about him besides that. Vin is the loud mouth
pain in the ass douche bag that everyone either
hates or loves. I am hoping that Mrs. Linde will
give us more into their lives. Maybe their own
books????
Arible is just as the synopsis describes her. She is mouthy, intelligent, and beautiful. She is very well educated and her family is very well known as social lights. Her parents are uptight and want to mold her into something she is not.She lives with three girls who are her best friends but are always on her about her life. You will meet Cheyenne who is the social butterfly, I guess you could say, of the group. Then there is Shelby who is vocal but knows when to shut it. Gabi is the shyer one of the group. She is quiet. Now the two of them together, Grant and Arible, actually complement each other. Although it was a fun ride watching Grant trying to get this smart mouthed girl to be with him. Now both of them do come with their own baggage, his being worse than hers. I can tell you both of their pasts involve parents but his I never saw coming.I can’t say too much of the
story without comepletely giving it away. I do
know I need more of Grant and Arible. The
way it ended is making me think there may be a
sequel.
I am giving this book 4.5 hearts.

Grant
All of my demons are coming to head.
I thought Ari could push them back.
I thought I could conquer my vices with her at my side.
I thought wrong.
Aribel
Fear is my new constant.
I thought I could conceal it, contain it, control it.
I thought that now that I had Grant the worst was over.
I thought wrong.
But if we’re going to survive, wherever you go…take me with you.
Find out what happens with Grant and Aribel in book 2 of the Take Me Duet!

Shannon’s Review
If you haven’t read Take Me for Granted I suggest you do
before reading this book.
Grant is back with all his sexiness in this book. He is hot
as hell and still has his moments. He
still has his problems with girls throwing themselves on him but hey he is a
rock star. He tries really hard in this book to be the devoted boyfriend to
Ari. Although Ari seemed a little bit more whiny and still didn’t have much of
a backbone in the beginning of the book. She was still having issues with her
family and getting her s**t straight.
I do like how their relationship evolves in this book. I
loved reading about these two and the struggles they had to face. And by the
way phone sex is extremely hot. Just saying.
I am giving this book 4 hearts.

Now it's time for all the questions you have wanted answered. Here is our interview with K.A. Linde.
Name: K.A. Linde
Where you are from? I currently live in Athens, GA.
Writing Genre: Contemporary romance/New Adult
Tell us about yourself: I’m the USA Today bestselling author
of the Avoiding series. When I’m not writing I spend most of my time dancing all
different styles, reading mostly YA fantasy and dystopian and playing my
puppies, Riker and Lucy.
Your latest work in progress: Gold, Book 2 in the All That
Glitters Series
Shannon: I can't wait for this one.
When did you begin writing? I always wrote. I wrote my first
book as a high school freshman and wrote the sequel and the start of the third
book the rest of high school. None of which will ever see the light of day. I
used to plot out stories in my notebooks in college. That’s how the Avoiding
series started. It was just a fun hobby and outlet for my emotions and now it’s
a career!
What inspires you to write? I’m inspired everyday by what
happens around me. I think also traveling really inspires me. When you see knew
places and meet knew people, you have a whole new perspective on the world
around you. I love to write about different places so this is helpful for that!
Are any of your books based on something personal that has
happened in your life? I would say that every book has some semblance of
reality in it. I think the saying “write what you know” is always a good
starting point. If you don’t know what you’re writing, it’s hard to bring
emotions into the work itself.
Who are some of your favorite authors? Philippa Gregory,
Robert Jordan, Sarah J Maas, Madeline Sheehan, Cassandra Clare
Favorite book? Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
What’s the hardest part of writing? The first 20k words. You
have this idea about the character, but they really write themselves onto the
page. So you spend a bit of time in the beginning getting to know them and
their quirks.
Do you have any advice for other authors? Finish the book!
Sounds silly and easy, but a lot of people get caught up in marketing, cover,
edits, Facebook groups, Goodreads, etc etc, they lose sight of what is
important—a really good book. My professor from grad school always said, “Keep
your head down and write.” That’s kind of my motto.
Do you have any other hobbies? Dance! I coach the Georgia
Dance Team at the University of Georgia. I also take dance classes—hiphop,
contemporary, jazz, tap, and ballet. Additionally, I take acrobatic pole at a
trapeze school.
Favorite TV show and song? Um…I don’t really watch TV, but
it used to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My favorite song changes pretty often.
I don’t have just one. Right now I would think it was This Is Gospel by Panic at the Disco.
Fast Fire Round Pick One:
Dildo or vibrator? vibrator
Inside or Outside? Outside (at the beach)
Hard or Rough? rough
Beard or No Beard? No beard
Long Hair or Short? short
Sour or Sweet? sour
Top or Bottom? top
Tall or Short? tall
Ice Cream or Candy? both
