Excerpt One
Then I turned and rushed to the sliding glass door. I went to duck inside, when my path was obstructed by an imposing figure at the doorway, the man a full foot taller than my five foot four. I didn’t want to look up, but I couldn’t stop myself from being drawn, and his warm breath washed over my face.
Chills cascaded in a dizzying wave down my spine, before the venom in his voice lifted the hairs at the nape of my neck, the words cold and deathly quiet. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing here?”
Lost in the searing anger blazing in his green eyes, I stammered for an answer. “I…I…”
I swallowed hard and he leaned in closer, his nose brushing mine, and I was suddenly drowning in everything Christopher Moore—the way he smelled, clean, like a breath of the morning’s freshest air, but still something else entirely intoxicating, like sex and lust and everything I’d ever wanted but knew I shouldn’t have.
My thoughts went fuzzy as I got lost in it, before that wicked voice snapped me back. “Stay away from my family.” Like a caress, he trailed his finger along the line of my jaw, lifting a line of goose bumps in its wake; before he hooked it under my chin, bringing his mouth a centimeter from mine.
There was no stopping the way my lips parted on instinct, as if they’d forever been waiting for his. His heat spread across my face, and I felt myself leaning forward.
“And stay the fuck away from me.”
Stunned, I stared, my mouth gaping open with offended shock and my body reeling from the need he’d spun up in me.

A.L. Jackson has quickly become one of my go to authors. Come to me Recklessly just cemented her as one of my favorites. Her writing is beautiful, it broke me, tears were shed. Did I expect anything less? No. A.L makes sure she covers her bases with angst, drama, frustration and sexy times that the story had me sucked in from the beginning.
Christopher and Samantha had a past. They're both hurt from their past. When the past collides with the present a perfect storm is created.
With flashbacks to the past I was presented with insight to their relationship. Why the tension is so thick between these two. Man it makes for a great story.
Christopher has become a man that had me swooning hard. I mean Jared was seriously my man but Christopher really have him a run for his money. The things that came out of his mouth...wow!
The chemistry created by A.L comes through the pages. It jumped out and at times chocked me. I couldn't stop reading, I had to know what was going to happen next. I was not disappointed one bit. These characters were amazing. The story took me on a journey that tugged at my heart.
This author has a way with words. It's poetry. I never tire of her work, she is exceptional. Her stories are always full of angst and drama and lots of love. It makes me have all the feels. Makes me appreciate authors of this caliber that take their time perfecting their characters and story. She has a knack and I'm so glad that I have found her work because she helps me fall in love with books all over again.
