SEVEN DAY FIANCE BY RACHEL HARRIS BLOG TOUR AND GIVEAWAY review by Sandie

Synopsis:

Angelle Prejean is in a pickle. Her family is expecting her to come home with a fiancé—a fiancé who doesn’t exist. Well, he exists, but he definitely has no idea Angelle told her mama they were engaged. Tattooed, muscled, and hotter than sin, Cane can reduce Angelle to a hot mess with one look—and leave her heart a mess if she falls for him. But when she ends up winning Cane at a charity bachelor auction, she knows just how to solve her fiancé problem.

Cane Robicheaux is no one’s prince. He doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t fall in love. When sweet, sultry-voiced Angelle propositions him, he hopes their little game can finally get her out of his head. He doesn’t expect her to break through all his barriers. But even as Angelle burrows deeper into his heart, he knows once their seven days are up, so is their ruse.

Rachel Harris Bio:

Rachel Harris grew up in New Orleans, where she watched soap operas with her grandmother and stayed up late sneak reading her mama’s favorite romance novels. Now a Cajun cowgirl living in Houston, she still stays up way too late reading her favorite romances, only now, she can do so openly. She firmly believes life’s problems can be solved with a hot, powdered-sugar-coated beignet or a thick slice of king cake, and that screaming at strangers for cheap, plastic beads is acceptable behavior in certain situations.
When not typing furiously or flipping pages in an enthralling romance, she homeschools her two beautiful girls and watches reality television with her amazing husband. Taste The Heat is her adult romance debut. She’s the author of MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY and A TALE OF TWO CENTURIES. She loves hearing from readers! Find her at www.RachelHarrisWrites.com.

*********SANDIE'S REVIEW*********

All I can think to say is awww, that was a cute book. I like going completly blind into books, apparently this is the second book int the series but can totes be read as a stand alone (I love these types of series).

Do you know what else I like? I like when I can get wrapped up, laugh and swoon all in one book and this is the book that did just that.

We start off with Angie or Angelle going to a charity event where they are actioning off bachelors  Cane happens to be one of them and she just so happens to have a crush on him. She knows his sisters but has never really talked to him. She had left home after turning down a proposal from her long time boyfriend. She wanted to show her family she could make it on her own. You know how some mothers are like really pesky and want to know if you have met a man yet? yeah thats kinda like her whole family, so she does what any one in that situation would do, she lies and says she has a fiance named Cane.

I laughed at this because they have never even really spoken, needless to say she outbids other women for Cane and then asks him to be her fake fiance for a week. Needing to go home to see her family she is desperate.

Cane, is a sexy beast and the way he is described he sounds delish! He has had a thing for Angie since she first arrived in town. He never persuade it because she is friends with his sisters. When she "wins" him at the auction he feels it is about time they really get to know each other. Then she drops the bomb, go home with her for a week and pretend to be her fake fiance.

Taking him home and having to pretend had me laughing. They had literally 2 hours to learn all they could about each other to pull this off. Cane is a sweet guy that made me swoon, especially because he went out of his way to do whatever he could to make Angelle happy. Even though he is described as a bad boy, you can totally see he is charismatic. I mean having to meet your fake fiance's ex boyfriend is hard enough with out adding in ALL her family. He proves that bad boys have big hearts. The build up between the characters is great and I love that I was able to read both perspectives, it gives me a better sense of who they are and how they truly feel. There is one scene in the book that I wish would have been, you know brought out more. Other than that I enjoyed the book.

Never having read any of this authors books prior to this, I wasn't to sure what to expect. I can tell you though that after reading this book I definitely want to read the first book in this series. I already went to goodreads and ummmm may have stalked the author to see what other books she has written that I might enjoy.

I rated this book:
4/5 hearts

Thank you so much for reading! The above quote made me grin like crazy, because that's what I love to read, and that's what I love to write...books that make me swoon and laugh, and sometimes even cry. So that is a huge compliment, and I'm so glad you enjoyed Seven Day Fiance! :)
