Title: GUY HATER
Author: J. Sterling
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Day: October 9thFrom New York Times Bestseller, J. Sterling, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel. Frank Fisher is quiet, pensive, and sexy as hell. He's also stuck in a loveless relationship, bound by a promise he made years ago. It's one he intends to keep, no matter the cost. The night Claudia walks into his bar, both his life and his perspective are forever changed. She's feisty, strong, independent and everything he never knew he needed. She's also everything he never knew he wanted, and now he's torn. Will Frank follow his heart, or will guilt and obligation continue to rule his life? Choices aren't always easy, especially when you're a man, and Frank's indecision may cost him more than he's willing to lose.
Inta-love? Oh yeah. Now if you have read my reviews before you know that I love insta-love....if done right. Plus when you just know someone is meant for you, or they are your soul mate you do what needs to be done so that person is with you right? I wish I could say that Frank did this. I wish I could say Frank saw Claudia and did everything in his power to make sure that happens. But Frank, oh Frank...
I wanted to reach into my kindle and slap the crap out of him. I get it dude, I do but you don't stay in a relationship with some chick dragging it out and being unhappy because of circumstances. Nope, you grab your nuts and do what needs to be done so both of you can be happy.
Now don't get all judgy, I mean Frank is a good guy, he just needed help finding his cajones.
As for Claudia....
She was everything I needed in a heroine. Feisty and amusing she had herself together and it showed through the pages. Now I get you might be like wait I thought this book is about Frank and Claudia but he's with another chick?
Thus the reason I was wanting to slap some sense into him! It was like are you serious dude? I wanted him to step up to the plate but let me tell you once they do get together...
My reaction when I finally got what I wanted (LOL)
Honestly I can forgive Frank for his slow assness once I got what I needed from them.
I have said it before and I will say it again, secondary characters (in most cases) bring out the main characters. What I mean is Claudia has a crazy friend (I swear she's me) Brittney, who brought Claudia to life for me. You know when you get to see their convos and they're true and you find yourself nodding along with the one giving the other advice because it's real and raw. Yeah that's Brittney. Oh, and the brothers. Man I loved them in this book. See secondary characters just bring out the realness in the leads and it helps me as a reader get a better grasp of who they (H/H) are. I appreciate that.
Overall I think I just wanted more Claudia and Frank together time. What I got was amazing but I know I will see them in the next story. (I BETTER SEE THEM IN THE NEXT STORY JENN!)
