"Instincts are what keep us safe from fate. Ignoring them can change your life forever. Fame and fortune arrived overnight and after months on the road with her singing tour, all Estelle craves is peace. Tired and ready for paradise, she travels to Fiji to recuperate. Stubborn and surly, Galloway is avoided by most--which is exactly the way he likes it. However, he's done spending his life in regret and hopes to find redemption in the tropical wilderness. Together, they board the flight that changes their fate forever. Crash landing on a deserted island, they not only have to figure out how to survive with no skills and daily dangers--learning how to fish, find water, and build shelter--but also inherit two children who look to them to keep them alive. However, staying alive might be the least of Galloway and Estelle's problems. As days creep to months and rescue doesn't find them, their desire for each other ignites. They started as strangers. They grew to be friends. They fought the desire to be lovers. Lust can be the most beautiful thing. Love the most rewarding. But not on an island where life hangs by a thread and giving into temptation can kill you. Can they survive being forgotten or will love be their ultimate undoing? From New York Times Bestseller Pepper Winters comes a timeless love story answering the question of what happens when everything is stripped away.
UNSEEN teaser 6

TOUCH. She finally touched me. And I let her. Her fingers were hypnotically soft; moving over my face, across my lips, lingering on my throat. My body instantly hardened. I reached for her, but the touch dropped lower, across my sternum, along my lower belly, feathering on my hipbone to my thigh. My cock stood up, begging to be granted the same treatment, but the touch vanished, tugging on something around my leg. My teeth snapped together as the frustration I’d been fighting for months boiled over. Lashing out, I connected with hair. Not a faceless face or dream-figmented breasts. Hair. Real. My eyes flew open. The dream ended. And I shot upright only to slam back down again when I noticed it wasn’t a dream. Estelle bowed over me. Her knees against my thigh, her fingers unbuckling the seat belts and fabric ties around my splint. I sucked in a breath, whisper-hissing in the dark. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Her eyes flashed then skittered across the camp to Pip and Conner. They slept in individual beds tonight, not needing each other’s support from the lonely memories of being parentless. She froze. “I’m doing what you want.” “What I want?” A Technicolor porno unraveled in my head. What I wanted was her mouth on my cock. What I wanted was her straddling my hips and me thrusting into her tight, hot heat. What I wanted was her. A thousand times her. I gritted my teeth; balled my hands. I did everything I could to fight the undeniable urges volcanoing in my blood. “Estelle, I suggest you move away from me.” I gave her a warning. I was a gentleman. If I touched her now, kissed her, fucked her...it would be her fault for coming too close when she knew the uncrossable boundaries between us. “Just tolerate me for a few seconds and then I’ll be gone.” Her eyes dropped back to my thigh. Tolerate? She thought I couldn’t tolerate her? Shit, I was in love with her. I spent my days falling more and more into goddamn love with her, and she thought I could barely tolerate her? Stupid, stupid woman.

I love to read books by Pepper Winters because they are different. This book though....WOW! I mean seriously how does she do this?
There is an ominous air that surrounds the protagonist Estelle, right from the start. The words were beautifully put together, painting a picture that you knew was not going to end in a pretty little picture.
Reading the blurb you don't get too much and I love that because I enjoy going into books blindly. This book had so many elements to it. From survival to love. I laughed, cried, sobbed and wanted more.
Pepper Winters is an extraordinary writer. The way she wove this tale so alluring I couldn't stop reading, I needed to see what was going to happen with Estelle, Galloway and the kids. This is a must read. One that will leave an impression on your heart.

Gable Book Blitz by Harper Bentley

Title: Gable (The Powers That Be #1)
Author: Harper Bentley
Release Date: Dec 31, 2014
Find on
Goodreads
Gable Powers had all the makings of everything my father had ever warned me about: a reputation that was anything but stellar, a dirty mouth that had me shivering at the things he uttered in my ear, and a body (oh, God, that body) that was covered in tattoos, all of which added up to a solid ten-point-oh on the bad-boy scale.
The first time I met him, I instantly loathed him.
The second time was even worse.
He was a jerk. He was an ass.
He had secrets.
He was nothing I thought I ever wanted.
So why couldn’t I resist him?
New adult. Not recommended for readers under 17.
“I miss the white outfit,” he stated then put his hands on my hips, moving them down to where his fingers skimmed along the hem of my shorts then started moving them slowly back toward my bottom. “But these hot pink shorts make you look completely fuckable too.”
That brought me out of my stupor and I spun around, glaring up at him. “You can’t talk to me like that!” I hissed under my breath, glancing around self-consciously to make sure no one was watching our exchange.
He peered down at my chest where my nipples were standing at full attention under my t-shirt. “From the looks of it, I think you like me talking to you like that.” Then he leaned in closer. “What’s the matter? Never been talked dirty to before, Priss?” When he pulled back, I saw that the half grin was now going strong and his luminous brown eyes were dancing with humor at his having riled me.
Holy hell.
As I kept glowering at him, having no response to that, I noticed a girl next to us gawking at us, and embarrassed, I smiled shyly at her, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, trying to act normal. When she turned away, I whisper-hissed at him, “Are you kidding me right now? Just who do you think you are?”
He bent again to get close to my ear. “I’m the guy who’ll have you coming hard before the semester’s over,” he answered evenly, his eyes shimmering with cockiness as they burned into mine when he stood straight again.
Mesmerized, I gazed back at him, lost in him, wanting what he was selling, God, how did he do that, until it hit me that I should be offended by his boldness and I suddenly frowned. “What is your deal?” I screeched making several students look at me and felt my face burning even hotter than it already was at his inappropriate comments. I turned to get away from him mumbling, “Oh, my God,” but he grabbed me by the arm pulling me in close.
“You don’t  have to call me God. Gable works, but I’m sure I’ll be making you scream both soon,” he whispered close to my ear.
I pushed against his chest (of course he didn’t budge at all) and jerked my arm from his grasp with a scowl then moved as far away from him as I could, going to the back of the line to wait until he left. Standing there, I closed my eyes trying to get a hold of myself but could still see his seductive gaze searing into mine as he smirked while saying those things to me, as if he was so confident that they’d happen regardless of what I had to say about it.
And the really bad thing about it? As I stood there, a complete emotional mess from what’d just happened, I found I actually wanted those things to happen, which served to embarrass me even more not to mention just totally baffle me. I mean, I’d only slept with one guy, Hayden, my first and only boyfriend, and that’d been after we’d dated for almost a year so it wasn’t like I got around much, so what was wrong with me that I was all in for having sex with someone I barely knew? Someone who’d been an ass to me from day one. Someone who obviously had way more experience than I had.
As I stood behind everyone, I swallowed thickly, my cheeks still on fire, wondering who the hell I was, and when I moved my eyes to the front I saw Gable write his person’s number down in his notebook, smile at a girl who was gazing up at him like he was a damned rock star then he left without even a glance back at me.
When I finally got to the front, I wrote my person’s number down quickly and got the heck out of there because a few people were still watching me curiously. As I walked outside the building, I cautiously surveyed the area making sure Gable hadn’t hung around wanting to torment me some more but saw that he was off to my right talking to his friend, Mr. Tactful, and they were near the parking lot which was a good twenty yards away. I also saw that Gable was smoking. Well, total turnoff right there. Good. At least he had something about him that repulsed me (other than his cocky attitude, that is), and when I saw the coast was clear, I let out the breath I was holding, relief flooding over me along with a bit of disappointment at his unhealthy habit, and headed away in the opposite direction from him, going to my next class.

I've read so many NA books it gets a bit monotonous. There are so many books with this same premise that it is hard for one to grab me. I tried hard with this book,  I hate DNFing books, like I seriously have to loathe the characters to a point that I just can't. Although I was close with this book, I didn't, I kept going. Now, am I going to lie and say it got so much better? No, but it did hold my interest enough for me to read it to the end.

I know it is hard to make an original story, believe I do. While the book to me reminded me a lot of Easy with the emails, I was waiting for something... grand or amazing. There was nothing that made it stand out amongst the sea of bad boy, tattooed, dirty talking college guys and the sweet girl next door that wants to tame him. BUT, I must say the ending I did not expect....okay maybe just a little bit. I think what I was missing was more of the build up between Gable and Scout. There was no spark for me. I was awaiting that awwww that's cute or ooooh I see why she fell for him. I did like the ending, because ovbs I like drama and conclusions.

While the first 3/4 did nothing for me, the last 1/4 was where I began to be okay with the story as a whole.

There was no way to tell what time it was, only that it was still dark, much later when she awakened. Layne’s hands were in her hair, tugging her this way and that. His mouth owned hers as he situated her to his liking, stroking his tongue against hers. Never before had she been kissed like this—so thoroughly. Trying to catch her breath, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her sensitive body to his. Since he had come back, she’d wanted this. She had all but thrown herself at him on so many occasions. Was this finally happening? Her stomach tickled as he moved his hands down her sides and stopped at her hips, fitting her body as tightly to his as he could. He ground himself into her, groaning deeply in his throat.

“Layne,” she gasped as he ripped his lips from hers, burying them in her neck. His breath was warm against her skin, moisture from his mouth trailed down the column as his tongue licked a trail towards her chest. This was all moving so fast; she wasn’t prepared for it at all. Her hands were on his head, and she gripped slightly, hoping to bring him to where she was, to slow things down. As soon as her fingers tightened, his body tensed.

Without warning, his hands moved from her hips. One hand pushed an arm up over her head, pinning her against the mattress, another came around her neck, squeezing tightly. She fought to open her eyes, and when she did, the person looking back at her wasn’t Layne. His eyes were so cold, glazed over, and his mouth sat in a firm line. He was breathing heavily, but it was obvious he was having a hard time realizing where he was.

“You have it don’t you?” he yelled at her.

She couldn’t answer, even if she had wanted to. The grip on her throat was too tight, too punishing. Jessica kicked with her feet, hoping to dislodge him, but even though he was no longer on active duty, he was in very good shape. He wasn’t overly muscular, but he was very lean and very much in control of his precise movements at this point. It scared her that she couldn’t take a breath into her lungs, and he didn’t seem to realize what kind of distress she was in.

“Don’t lie to me,” he yelled at her again. “I know you have it.”

Thrashing her head to the left and then to the right allowed her to get enough room to breathe, and when she did, she let loose with a blood-curling scream. Even that didn’t break the spell that Layne seemed to be under. Within moments, the door to the room burst open revealing Tyler and Liam.

Immediately, Tyler took in the situation and ran over to where they lay. “Layne, my man,” he told him as reached down and grabbed the other man by the waist. “Don’t fight me,” he yelled at him when Layne began kicking. Tyler’s muscles bulged as Layne struggled against him. It took everything Tyler had to hang onto the other man.

Liam scooped Jessica up from where she lay, helping to pry Layne’s hands from around her neck. “You alright?”

She gasped, inhaling deep breathes, rubbing the sore spot around her throat. “I’m good,” she heaved. “But I’m worried about him.”
