About WICKED WHITE
After his mother dies, rock star Ace White—lead singer of the red-hot band Wicked White—is done with the celebrity game. The phony people, the meaningless one-night stands: he doesn’t want any of it anymore. Quitting in the middle of a sold-out tour, Ace sets out to find some place—any place—where he can be alone.
Aspiring singer Iris Easton’s life has never been easy. First, her mother walked out on her when she was a kid. Now she’s buried in debt, weeks after losing her beloved grandmother. When a mysterious and sexy new guy moves in next door, Iris can’t help but be drawn to his soulful gaze. She can tell there’s something from his past haunting him—something he’s not telling her.
Just as Ace starts falling for Iris, the media go on a worldwide hunt to find the missing rocker. Will true love conquer all, or will the truth be the very thing that tears the couple apart?

I love a good rocker book and I know that Michelle Valentine can deliver those I mean Noel, Riff and the rest of Black Falcon c'mon.

I was excited for this book. I couldn't wait to meet Ace. He is so different than the other rockers that I love. He has so much to deal with in his present situation, I love the conflicted rocker thing he had going. When I am introduced to Ace, I wasn't quite sure what to make of him.
Pushover, playboy, bad boy I mean what was his real true self.
The description of him welllll....I wasn't too keen on that. The way he was described I thought of the guys from ZZ Top. I know I know probs not what you wanted to read but I'm being real here that is what I thought.

As the story develops I like him more and more and his description gets better. (Whew)
And Iris, OMG I love her and Birdie. Iris is a kick ass heroine. She was just the right amount of tough, I loved how she never gave up getting to know Ace even though he was kind of a jack ass to her at first.

To be honest it did take me a bit to warm up to the characters but once I did I absolutely feel for them and the things going on around them. Iris and Ace both having to deal with loss, love and more loss. I swear he was going to break out and sing the Goo-Goo Dolls Iris to her, he doesn't sadly but that would have been awesome!

The story moves seamlessly through the main protagonists lives, each having to deal with life in unexpected ways. Now for anyone who knows me, knows I love a good angsty book. Did this have that angst I was looking for not quite. I wanted more build up to their relationship, more push and pull but none the less Michelle knows how to write and once I got over that I was good. I also wanted a little more at the end but I get it.

In the end this book made me get the feels goods. There were times where I was questioning if Michelle was messing with me because there is a good chink of the book where I was not too pleased with Ace. He makes up for it but still Ace you bad bad boy! I enjoyed the book and the build up of the characters. I enjoyed the way the heroine didn't give up on her goals for a man. All in all a very pleasurable read.
