I love when I read a book and am transported to different countries. Especially when it is done right. Amber -Who is Jesse's younger sister- goes on a trip for the summer to visit many different countries Ireland being one of them.
River runs the family's pub and is a good guy. When these two meet let's just say it was either wrong place wrong time or fate. River loves his family and it shows throughout, even though his older brother well....I was like whoa dude.
Amber can't seem to get River out of her mind. I loved her spirit in this book, she could have been judgmental but instead she shows class.
What I loved is that KA Tucker does an exceptional job of weaving the characters stories and Irelands history. I was never bored, rather it intrigued me that much more.
I love how the author gave the characters time to develop their love for one another. You can see the struggles River goes through and that made me love him that much more.
Another thing I truly love is when the secondary characters just pop out at you. Rowen and Delaney are those characters, the ones that you must know about because they pop up and have a lasting effect.
All in all I must say that KA Tucker truly knows how to keep me entertained for hours. I simply had to know what was going to happen next and I love being able to get lost in this world where constant trouble was awaiting and I never knew what was coming around the bend.
Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude. Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn’t risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move. Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone. And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.
