Real by Katy Evans

Dee's Review

Remington, Remington, Remington. Where to start with this book? We have our hot, sexy, boxer Remington. And we have the one who catches his eye, Brooke. She was training to go to the Olympics and due to an injury didn’t make it. So she now has her degree in sports therapy. Thinking she is getting asked on a date, she
actually ends up with a job offer she can’t turn down. This begins the start of their relationship. It's a rollercoaster ride of a relationship, but it is one heck of a ride. She accompanies him everywhere for everything including his insane workout and training schedule.

Outside of the ring, and, I can’t believe I am about to say this, but Remy wants to wait before he and Brooke do ANYTHING but kiss. This should be a good thing, but it is literally driving both of them crazy. It drove me crazy as well. I mean he’s a hot and sexy boxer, I wanted more. So as Remy gets his knockouts in the ring, each for Brooke, they continue to not knock it out outside of the ring. They continue to build this relationship that is driving them both insane. She stands by his side through some deep emotional confessions and episodes, and this means more than you realize. But when it all comes out and the truth is revealed... sigh... This builds up to an unbelievable high for both of them.. I won't spoil it and tell you what happens.. you have to find out for yourself. I will say this about our Remy...

He’s not our normal alpha male and that made me love him even more. He’s not perfect, and that to me, made him top of the list. He protects her in every way that matters; in any way the can, he does. He returns something to her that means the world, and causes him some, okay a lot, of pain in the process. If you could give someone you love something that meant that much to them, and would hurt you in doing so.. could you do it? Would you deliberately give up so much for someone you love? Does their relationship make it? You will have to read this to find out. But I can’t say enough about this book. I will say I stayed up til 5am reading this book, that is how good it was to me. I had to know how it ended. I. Had. To. Know. I love Remy. Love him. Sigh..Sandie, we have another one. Swoon. I give this book 5 hearts. You should definitely read Real.

Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

Dee's Review
Let me start by saying how much I loved beautiful bastard. I mean who doesn't love the original panty ripper. But now we meet Max Stella and I think he gives his Mate, Bennett, a run for his money. This man should be every woman's fantasy man.  Not only is he caring, smart, gorgeous and just all around lovely, but holy cow... experienced is putting it lightly. Can he write a book? Oh wait.. He kinda did.. Moving on..There were plenty of times where I had to stop and look around thinking "did it just get hot in here? That was HOT!"

His originality in his dates with Sara are stellar, adding a bit of mystery to the whole thing. Man has skills. Heck, Max makes me want to visit museums and libraries..that's never happened.. There were also plenty of times where my jaw dropped and all I could think was.. can you do that... there???

He's a supposed playboy.. When really, the man just needed the right woman. Sigh... Don't they all? That's where Sara Dillon comes in.  Fresh from a cheating heartbreak, she isn't looking for commitment.  No strings attached, a man should be able to do that right? Can women do that? Sara seems to thinks so.  So that's that she outlines for Max. Who wouldn't want that after being in a relationship where someone cheats for as long as she was? Can she still explore her hidden  wants and desires and not be caught? Can max restore her faith in love and relationships and men? Read and you shall find out. I thought this book gave Beautiful Bastard a run for its money. I loved it. There wasn't a minute during reading this book where I wasn't pulling for Max.  Hoping that he and Sarah work. That they find a way to be together despise the chaos thrown their way. Let me just tell you when I closed the last page at the end.. this was how I felt. It's that good.

I give this 5 hearts.. A must read.

Sandie, we need to add Max to the banner... Sandie!.. Sandie!... Has anyone seen her?  San.. oh.. there you are.. I think we should add Mmmmmmax to the banner on the blog. Because he is mmmm mmmm mmm good. He might even be my new fave.

Book description for Date Me (Keatyn Chronicles, #3):

I’m not scripting my life anymore.
I’m living it.
I’m done with the God of all Hotties.
I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.
The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.

There are so many things to look forward to.
Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.
But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.
I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.
But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.
I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.
I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.
I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.

My Review:

I am so excited to be apart of this tour! I love me some Keatyn and her sometimes crazy and confused self.
I LOVE this series, Keatyn is a girl after my own heart. I would seriously love to live her life. This story picks right up where Kiss Me left off...
Jillian Dodd, has another hit series with the Keatyn Chronicles, I have enjoyed every single one of the books. The fashion, the boys and the friendships. I love reading about how much Keatyn grows and learns in each book.

There were times that I was like this:
Then It turned into:

Le sigh...
thats how I feel when ever I read the names Dawson and Aiden.
Keaytn and friend embark in many more dramatic filled moments that kept me glued to my kindle. I wanted to devour every single moment and did not want to miss a thing. Miami...oh yeah when you read this book you will understand what that means.

In the end I just loved that Keatyn is just well Keatyn and as her friendships grow and her life involves I love being able to be a part of her world. Wish I could stay in there, I mean hot guys and being able to afford the best in fashion, where do I sign up.

I rated this book
4.5/5 hearts
Sandie

Talania by Crystal Spears blog stop review and Giveaway

Talania - A Trip Down Memory Lane by Crystal Spears Blog Stop

*ARC Provided for honest review*

Excerpt:

Past:
"Hi, I'm Evelyn." She sticks her beautiful tanned hand out to shake mine. I am dumbfounded, at a loss for words. I mean, I just hit this girl in the head with a volleyball and she is being polite.
"Um, sorry about the volleyball. I'm Tristan." I shake her hand in return and the air around us crackles and pops. I pull my hand back quickly. What the hell was that?
"Well, Tristan, next time try not hitting a girl in the head with the volleyball when you're ogling her." My mouth drops open. I am busted.
"I…I…I'm sorry." I mean, what the fuck else is there to say?
"It's all right." She laughs and it is such a beautiful laugh.
"So how old are you Tristan? You look like you're around seventeen." She cocks her head to stare back at me.
"I'm…I'm fifteen," I stammer out. What in the hell is wrong with me?
"Well, you look older. I'm fourteen. It was nice meeting you Tristan." She points to a beach house. "That's where I'm staying if you ever want to visit." With that, she walks away, her beautiful long chocolate brown hair waving in the wind.

Present:
I glance down, pulling her hand to me. The air crackles and pops at the first touch of her skin against mine. It's as if I can breathe again. Four years of air rush into my lungs at once, overwhelming me. I look closely at the symbol on the bracelet. I can't breathe. This cannot be what I think it is. Tears are stinging my fucking eyes. This cannot be happening.
"This…this is a cancer survivor bracelet," I whisper.
I look up into Ev's beautiful chestnut eyes and she nods, releasing my grip and lifting her hair as she tilts her head. Three long scars hide underneath her hair.
"Brain cancer. I had a tumor, and it came back three times. I can't remember the years from when I was fourteen up until nineteen," she whispers, letting her hair fall back down.
Drake and I gasp at the same time. This whole time I thought she left me, left us, and she was fucking dying of cancer. I cannot breathe. Someone needs to get me some fucking air. I eye the tequila, hesitating before I start downing it straight from the bottle. After I am satisfied, I let the bottle slip from my lips.

Dee's Review:
I don't think I can yet process what this book did to me emotionally. I started reading this sitting in the waiting room of a doctor's office. I am not kidding when I tell you I had to stop reading, 50 pages in and I was already in tears. I had to close the book and take a walk for fear of busting out in tears in public, and people looking at me like I was crazy. I know the topic of Cancer hits home with most of us, but this, what Ev has to face as a young woman ... no words. Not one word that I can think of can explain how much of an emotional heart wrenching story this was. It was a good heart wrenching story. No good doesn't even cover it. It was outstanding. I was sucked in after chapter one. I could not put this book down. I was sucked into my own little bubble on the roller coaster ride of Ev and Tristan. What a wonderful ride it was. I had to know how their story would play out. I had to know if she was going to fight these battles and win. Could their relationship withstand reliving the past, and creating a new future at the same time? Ev is amazing. I have no other words for anyone that is a Cancer Survivor. You all are amazing. Hands down. And our Tristan, I think he could be Man of the Year.  My heart broke during this story... and not once, I am pretty sure it broke multiple times. I was in tears, multiple times. Literally. And not the pretty cry with one or two tear drops, I mean I was an ugly crier.

Not only did my heart break for Ev and her battle, but for Tristan and Drake, their friends, her dad, his parents. All of them. Everyone who was affected by what happened. To have your soul mate ripped away and not ever knowing, and suffering that heart ache only to run into her at a bar, at college, years later and she doesn't remember you... HEART BREAK. Finding out what she went through without you, HEART BREAK.  The vow, the vow to make her love him again. SWOON. I think I fell in love with him at that moment. I fell in love with this book after paragraph one. I can't say enough good things about this book. It was just amazing.

I give this book 5/5 hearts
